Final Designs and Report Available!

Transition Framingham, the City of Framingham, and RDLA are pleased to present the final community garden designs and final project report for CPA23-019, “Design Study for New Community Garden Sites in Framingham.”

These design concepts for potential new community garden sites at Bates Road Park and Roosevelt Park were developed by RDLA based on an extensive community input process.

The project report provides more details about this CPA-funded project, the community feedback received through three successful public meetings and other activities, and the preliminary and final design concepts.

Join us at the Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting on Tuesday, September 10th, at 7pm, to hear from RDLA about this project and the final designs!

The meeting is hybrid, so you can attend in person or virtually:

May 4th Follow-Up Community Gardens Meeting

On Saturday, May 4th, from 2:00-3:30 PM, a follow-up community gardens design meeting was held at atac (Amazing Things Arts Center), located at 160 Hollis Street in downtown Framingham.

Following two very successful neighborhood meetings at Bates Road Park and Roosevelt Park, participants had an opportunity to provide feedback on multiple design options for a potential community garden at each park, developed based on public input at the initial neighborhood meetings in March! Facilitated by our design consultant RDLA, attendees were once again be invited to participate in the design process by sharing their ideas, suggestions, and questions, which will be used to create a final preferred design for each park. This was the third and final community participation meeting for this CPA-funded design project.

If you were unable to attend on May 4th, you can watch the Video Recording of the Follow-Up Meeting with thanks to Access Framingham!
